What is the controversy all about? I my own point of view, I think it is all about people getting fed up with being put down. Don Imus should not have said the things he said wich I will not repeat. However, he dose have the righ to say them, we as a nation have the right too say enough of this. Rap, hiphop, and entertainment in general have been feeding us this stuff for years now and I think people have had just about enough of it.
Today CBS radio has fired Don Imus. Basically saying that the corprate industries and advertisers make the descision as too what is right and wrong in this country.
Simple fact: We as a people need to build eachother up and not knock eachother down. Stop with the racial BS. Help eachother, do not hurt eachother. Take a stand were one needs to be taken and stop taking stands against things that are uncontrollable. We must learn to trust one another if we are going to make it as a society. What Imus said was wrong now instead of bashing on him we need to help him see the errors of his ways.

Yes, Imus has the right to say what he said, and General Motors, Procter & Gamble and the other big advertisers have the right to pull their ads. Imus trespassed a boundary of decency among civilized Americans. Besides his humor is pathetically childish. Good riddance.

It's sad that any fading celebrity can mouth a few bigoted insults, get half of the country pissed off, and half of the country defending him, and get a HUGE boost in his (free) publicity. And all he has to do is go to "rehab" for a few weeks.
He'll get picked up by another station really soon. No need to worry about the welfare of Don Imus.
